Worship

Sunday Services
Regular Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. is the central ritual of our community. Music plays a prominent role in our services. Other central elements include the sermon and a children’s message. When we serve communion, all are welcome to receive it.

After the service, we move into the auditorium for coffee, tea or juice, talk with friends and make new acquaintances. Everyone is welcome.

Sunday February 5

Message from Mary:

I have read the words written in Isaiah many times, and they are Giller prize quality. I can hardly describe how I feel when those words are read.

And I read them now just like an author who reads proudly from their book, I will read these words that belong to all of us:

Those who trust in the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

These are more than just beautiful words on a page in a book that you will put on your shelf and dust occasionally. These words are life-giving. Imagine if you were having a bad day and you read those words. Imagine if life seemed to be crashing down on you and you read, those who trust in the Lord shall mount up with wings like eagles. What a thrilling image.

Blessings,
Rev. Mary
